Getting Additional Business Credit Accounts

Secure Additional Business Credit Accounts

If you’ve enrolled in the business credit course or are following a business credit system or using a business credit service, you may find that you’re finally in a place to add additional business credit accounts and even possibly apply for business cards. Now, with that said, you must be at a certain stage in the business credit building process BEFORE you apply for additional business credit accounts or apply for business credit cards. Once you’ve built business credit and established a business credit file, you will want to continue to build business credit, monitor your business credit, and keep the business credit building process going in order to meet the demands of your growing business. To keep building business credit, you may want to secure 3-5 additional business credit accounts.

Before applying for additional business credit accounts, you should have a minimum of 6-8 business credit accounts that report to Dun and Bradstreet and an additional 3-5 business credit accounts that report to the other two main business credit bureaus: Business Experian and Business Equifax. This would mean you should have a total of 9-14 business accounts and an established business credit profile BEFORE you apply for these 3-5 additional business credit accounts. Once you’ve met these criteria, you can apply for 3-5 additional business credit accounts in order to keep building business credit.

Before applying for additional business credit accounts, you may wish to contact your current business credit accounts and see if they’ll increase your business credit limit. Additionally, you may now qualify for business credit cards… this is assuming you’ve followed all of the business credit building steps in the business credit ladder.
